MEMORIAL PLAQUE WAS INSTALLED IN HONOUR OF SCIENTISTS
An event dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding scientist, literary critic, brilliant scientist in the field of education of Kazakhstan Shamgali Sarybayev, who made a worthy contribution to the development of culture and spirituality of the country, was held in Almaty.
The event was attended by Advisor to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Malik Otarbayev, Akim of Almaty Yerbolat Dosayev, Chairman of the Board – Rector of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebayev, Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-building Measures in Asia (CICA) Kairat Sarybai, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Zhurinov, Rector of the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory Arman Zhudebayev, People’s Artist of Kazakhstan Roza Rymbaeva, intellectuals, state and public figures, relatives and descendants of Shamgali Sarybayev.
At the meeting, the congratulatory letter of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was read by the Adviser to the President of Kazakhstan Malik Otarbayev. The letter said: "Shamgali Sarybayev is a brilliant scientist and a great teacher who has made a pivotal contribution to the development of traditional spiritual values of the nation. He brought Kazakh linguistics and literary studies to a new level, wrote many wonderful works, expanded and strengthened the importance of his native language."
A documentary film about Shamgali Sarybayev "Gulama" was shown at the meeting. Then the opening ceremony of the memorial plaques in honor of sons and grandson of Shamgali Sarybayev took place: Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor Shora Sarybayev, researcher of Kazakh national musical instruments, Professor Bolat Sarybayev and famous composer Talgat Sarybayev. The memorial signs are installed on the wall of house No. 113 on Abylai Khan Avenue, where representatives of the dynasty lived in different years.
Akim of Almaty Yerbolat Dosayev made a speech at the opening ceremony, he noted that Shora, Bolat and Talgat Sarybayev were true professionals, who were dedicated to their work and who made a significant contribution to the development of literature and musical art. "Shora Shamgaliuly is the author of more than 200 scientific articles and textbooks, monographs. It has been widely recognized not only in the country, but also abroad. Bolat Shamgaliuly made a special contribution to the revival of ancient musical instruments and the traditional Kazakh musical culture of our nation. Thanks to him, our national art was revived. Talgat Bolatuly composed many songs. His works will forever remain in the memory of the people," Yerbolat Dosayev announced.
In turn, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan Murat Zhurinov stressed that the duty of modern youth is to promote and glorify the works of individuals who served the nation.
Students of Shamgali Kharisuly, contemporaries of Shora Sarybayev, star of Kazakh bandstand Roza Rymbayeva, Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Kairat Sarybai also spoke at the meeting and shared their memories.
