CENTER OF THE ORGANISATION OF ISLAMIC COOPERATION WILL OPEN AT KAZNU
Within the framework of the first OIC-15 Dialogue Platform's Ministerial Meeting, Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with the Deputy Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation for Science and Technology Askar Musinov. During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation.
Zhanseit Tuimebayev informed the distinguished guest about innovative projects developed by KazNU scientists. Rector noted that through the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, it was necessary to revive the partnership of KazNU with universities of Muslim countries and work in the scientific direction. Zhanseit Tuimebayev also proposed to open a Center of the Islamic Cooperation Organization in the field of science and technology at the university.
Askar Akhmetuly also noted that he supports the proposals of the university management. "Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is the leading university in Kazakhstan. We support the opening of the center of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation at KazNU. A memorandum on this issue will be signed in the future. 57 countries are members states of the international organization. It also includes more than 30 universities of the Muslim world. In this regard, we will negotiate with representatives of Qatar, the UAE and other countries, and promote scientific work with these universities. Taking advantage of today's meeting, I would like KazNU specialists to give lectures and share their experience in the field of IT and robotics in universities in African countries," Askar Musinov announced.
The parties discussed other general issues and agreed on the systematic implementation of these initiatives.
