Cooperation with Lanzhou University will continue

On June 23, 2023, a delegation led by the rector of Lanzhou University of China, Mr. Yang Chunhua, visited our faculty. A special meeting held at the Confucius Institute was attended by a number of leaders of Lanzhou University, led by the rector. Director of the Confucius Institute Asylbekov R.O. from KazNU, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations Jackenov D.K., Head of the Department of Sinology of the Faculty of Oriental Studies Kerimbaev E.A. and lecturer-professors of two faculties. During the meeting, ways to continue the long-term effective cooperation between the two universities were discussed. Various opinions and proposals were expressed. During this meeting, certificates were awarded to teachers who completed the course "Improving the qualifications of teachers of Chinese in Kazakhstan", organized by Lanzhou University online from February to May 2023. The rector of Lanzhou University presented a certificate to the teachers of educational institutions of the city of Almaty who took part in the course. On behalf of the teachers, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Chinese Studies Mustafa Serik thanked the staff of Lanzhou University and wished them success in their work.
