The rector of KazNU discussed the prospects for cooperation with the president of Altai State University

Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi KazNU Zhanseit Tuymebayev met with the President of Altai State University Sergey Zemlyukov. The parties discussed issues of developing mutually beneficial cooperation.

 

In his welcoming speech, the head of the country's leading university emphasized the strategic importance of Kazakhstan's relations with Russia, which is the country's key foreign economic partner. The countries are also united by strong ties in the field of science and higher education. In March of this year, the 15th Congress of the Eurasian Association of Universities was held in Moscow, in which the delegation of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University took part. Also in April, meetings were held between the head of KazNU and the rectors of leading Russian universities.
 

Rector acquainted the honored guest with information about the university and the experience of scientific and educational cooperation with universities, institutes, organizations of the Russian Federation in various fields. As part of global cooperation, KazNU is a member of the consortia of the Network University of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Network University of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. To date, 195 cooperation agreements have been signed with Russian universities.
