Centre for German Studies under supervision of Professor Mara Gubaidullina was awarded the Grant of German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) for International Relations Department (IRD) student’s trip to Germany in June 2012. The grant will give an opportunity for a 15 students to have an internship in Germany universities.
The students will have an introduction and working practice in the leading universities of Berlin, Marburg, Heidelberg, Bonn, Hamburg, Bremen and in the Max-Plank-Institution, Peace-and-Security-Research-Institute (CORE), Institute on Global and Regional Researches (GIGA).
Visits plan include number of training and seminars, round table with the Head Interparlamental Group on Central Asia in Bundestag–Deputy Enkelmann, visit to the Embassy of Republic of Kazakhstan in Berlin and etc.
This news was announced by Director of DAAD-Information-Centre Dr. Michael Yaumann during the meeting with students and teachers of IRD.
M. Yaumann has also congratulated bachelor and master degree students who had won DAAD scholarships for Summer language training courses and educational program in Germany.
He provided the audience with detailed information on DAAD scholarship programs, academic exchanges, answered number of questions, including questions about Germany a country of advanced knowledge, of the strong education, universities and high technologies.
Dean of International relations faculty Karimzhan Shakirov has shared his impressions about his visiting to universities of Germany; during the meeting closer cooperation with Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was proposed.
