"Modernization of Kazakhstani education in modern sociological discourse"

Department of Sociology and Social Work of faculty Philosophy and Political Science of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Association of Sociologists of Kazakhstan on 15th November 2012 holds 1st Azhenov readings in the format of the international scientific conference "Modernization of Kazakhstani education in modern sociological discourse" dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the outstanding scientist, teacher and mentor Matipulla Salahadinovich Azhenov.

INFORMATION LETTER

Department of Sociology and Social Work of faculty Philosophy and Political Science of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Association of Sociologists of Kazakhstan on 15th November 2012 holds 1st Azhenov readings in the format of the international scientific conference "Modernization of Kazakhstani education in modern sociological discourse" dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the outstanding scientist, teacher and mentor Matipulla Salahadinovich Azhenov.

The following sections are planned to be held:

- Modernization process in the national education system: a sociological analysis

- Globalization and Strategy of Kazakhsta's education

- Methodological potential of Sociology of Education

- Synthesis of education and science in process of teaching

- Development of research universities in Kazakhstan

-Sociological Discourse in Kazakhstan: current realities and researches

Prior to the conference the publication of conference proceedings is planned.

Deadline of the application and article: October 20, 2012.

Requirements for the conference application and the publication of articles:

1. Information about the authors, indicating the name, surname, middle name, scientific degree, academic rank, the main place of work, position, home, office or mobile phone, and e-mail address (for communication with the editorial board of the collection);

2. Articles in Kazakh, Russian and English languages, containing previously unpublished research results, discussion papers on the conference theme are admitted.

3. The article size, including references, tables and figures with captions, annotations, should not exceed 10 printed pages. Minimum size for the humanities - 6 pages. It is necessary to submit an electronic version of the article in full compliance with the listing. The file name should begin with the first author's surname in Latin script (eg, Ivanov.doc (rtf)); article pages must be numbered. The code for the UDC is specified (certificate of receipt of UDC should be attached).

4. The article formalization. Text should be in Word, any version, presented on a CD or other media or sent by email. Text font - Times New Roman, paper size A4 (210 * 297mm), font size - 12 pt. Line spacing - single. Alignment - justified. Indentation - 0.8 cm Margins top - 2, bottom - 2, left - 2 right - 2.

In the tables, figures, formulas should not be discrepancies in naming symbols, characters. Figures should be clear. On the figures and tables in the text should be referenced.

Visual material presented in formats: for photos, drawings - tiff or jpeg (300 dpi for black and white and color), graphs, charts, diagrams, etc. - exls, cdr. On the back of the picture or underneath the surname of the author, article title and figure number should be indicated. Illustrations can be placed in the text, but must be attached as a separate file (that can later be used in the layout). Captions are given in a list at the end of the article.

The article is signed by all authors of the manuscript.

5. References should consist of no more than 20 names, and issued in accordance with the requirements of state standart. References to sources in the text are only in square brackets (without citation [12], when quoting or paraphrase the author's text [12, p. 29]). The numbering of references in the article produced by the ordinal number of the source in the bibliography. When using in the article of electronic resources or remote (Internet) in the list of references a bibliographic record of the source and links to online resources with the full network address on the Internet should be indicated. It is desirable to specify the date of application to the resource.

6. Annotations in Kazakh, Russian and English, which describes the subject and conclusions of article should meet the requirements of informativeness, content and quality of the translation (5-7 lines).

7. Editorial Board will select articles. Authors are responsible for the content of articles. If necessary, the article can be returned to the author for revision.
