The team of KazNU- is the best in the regional tourism competition!

The 2'd Regional Olympic Game among students of "Tourism" specialty of higher educational institutions of Almaty and Almaty region has finished in KazNU. "Bolashak" team (Al-Farabi Kazakh National University) was a winner, team "Zhihankez" (Abay KazNPU) gained the second place, third place was given to the "55'th parallel "( Abylay Khan KazUIR & IL) according to the results of two days competition in the competitive program and competitions in sports distances of tourism technology.Teams of KAZACT, Turan University, T.Ryskulov KAZEU became prize-winners in separate types of program.


Prizes to the best teams (the tent, guitar, sleeping pad, a set of tourist dishes, tourist literature, hiking attributes) were provided by: Tourism company «Caspian Travel», the company «Abacus», Kazakhstan Tourist Association, Department of Geography and recreational tourism.

A welcome letter from the President of the tourism industry committee of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan Republic K.M.Tanysbaev was a good incentive for the participants. He said that tourism has a great importance as a promising sector of the national economy which needs a qualified professionals of the new formation. The President of the Committee wished success to the participants of the Olympic Games and invited the winners to the opening of the International "Ile-Balkhash regatta" aqua-rally which will be held in Tamgaly-Tas on April 27, 2013.

13 teams of nine leading universities of Almaty and Almaty region, which implement programs of tourism education took part in the program of the Olympic Games.

The organizing committee thanked the Senior Lecturer in Physical Education and Sport, the national judge of the highest category Podporin S.G and the President of the Federation of sport tourism and tourism-round of Almaty Klikich S.M for their assistance in organizing the Olympic Games' sports program.
