Visit of the Delegation from Bundestag at the Faculty of International Relations
On the 12th of September 2013 visit of the German Parliament Delegation (Bundestag) opened traditional “Ambassadorial hour at the Faculty of International Relations”. An active international activity of the faculty has started. The students and professors have met the distinguished guests: Deputy Christoph Poland, First Counsellor Dr. Randolph Krüger, Prof. Dr.Hans-Ulrich Heiß, Vice-rector of Berlin Technical University. The delegation was accompanied by Raban Richter, the Consul of the FRG for Culture, Economy and Media. Susanne Becker, Deputy Head of Language Department of the Goethe-Institute and Dr. Gulsym Masakova, Head of Central Asia and Kazakhstan Studies Department of the Gumboldt University have taken part in the discussion as well.
The German guests willingly shared the features of work of the German Parliament ahead of elections, the possibility of having work practice at the Bundestag and studying there “Political Management”. There were discussed political leaders of Germany and international policy of this country. A lot of students’ and professors’ questions were answered.
The Dean of the Faculty of International Relations K. Shakirov having remarked the importance of cooperation with German Universities and Bundestag told about further development of German destination at the faculty. Professor M. Gubaidullina acquainted the visitors with work of the Centre for German Studies, book collection. Students demonstrated a short film about their studying and academic excursions in Germany.
