From 21 to 24 October the week of the Persian language was held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies at the organization of the Department of Arabic and Iranian Studies. The event was attended by honored guests from Iran: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kazakhstan Mojtaba Damirchilu, Consul General Amir Reza Darabian, Head of Cultural Mission at the Embassy Asghar Saberi, representative of Iranian cultural center in Almaty M.Kamrani, the scientist and linguist, the researcher of pre-Islamic inscriptions Sirus Nasrallahzade, and sociologist, doctor of Social Sciences of the University of Eastern Kentucky (USA) Seid Beyvak Mohammadi, a doctor of theology and sociological Sciences of Bristol university (UK) Sayyid Dzhavadmiri, deputy head of the center for research on the sociology of women in the society and culture of the eastern countries of family relationships Ashraf Baruzhardi. On the first day they visited the East Museum of the Oriental Studies Faculty, in which important artifacts of culture of the peoples of the East were collected, and also got acquainted with the equipment cabinets and faculty of the Department of Arabic Studies and library fund of Department of Iranian Studies. During the week of the Persian language students and teachers of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, and everyone had the opportunity to participate in workshops, roundtables, led by Iran scientists, and also to visit shows of contemporary Iranian cinema. After all days spent in Kazakhstan, guests from Iran noted the high level of development in general and decent conditions of teaching students in Kazakh National University.
