KazNU organizing international conference dedicated to 70th anniversary of the United Nations organizatio

On 2nd of March at 10:00 o’clock Al-Farabi Kazakh National University organizes international scientific and practical conference «The Stronger UN - Better World» dedicated to the important date - 70th Anniversary of the United Nations Organization the sigh of UN commitment to peace, development and security.

Event organized with the help of Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of foreign affairs and United Nations department of information in Kazakhstan.

International scientific and practical conference "The Stronger UN, the Better World " focuses on role of the UN in maintaining peace and security on the planet, sustainable development, environmental security of the planet, the assertion of human rights and democratic values in the world, as well as on the development of cooperation between the UN and Kazakhstan. In the framework of the Conference student activities "We are UN” and the jubilee exhibition "UN: 70 years in pictures” will start.

The Conference will look into the following topics through 4 sessions: The Maintenance of Peace and Security in the World; Sustainable Development Agenda and Post- 2015; Ensuring Human Rights and Cultural and Humanitarian Cooperation; Kazakhstan and the United Nations Organization cooperation. Event will be conducted on three languages – kazakh, russian and english.

The Conference will be attended by distinguished guests and representatives of the UN in Kazakhstan, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations. Also the first Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the UN, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Professor A. H. Arystanbekova has been invited as a keynote speaker.
