KazNU organised a camp for children from orphanages

From 31 July to 8 August, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University organised a summer camp for children from orphanages. From 31 July to 8 August, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University organised a summer camp for children from orphanages. It was attended by 100 students from Karaganda, Pavlodar, Petropavlovsk and Taraz.

 

The aim of the charity event is to make the holidays of children without parental care meaningful and to awaken in them a sense of patriotism and interest in knowledge. During the holidays, several informative trips were organised. First of all, the children got acquainted with the picturesque city of KazNU, visited the University Museum, Al-Farabi Library and other objects. They also visited Almaty's cultural and historical sites and nature areas. They visited many monuments, museums, museum-houses of the city and got unforgettable impressions.

Also within the framework of the republican charitable action ‘Road to School’ 100 pupils were given briefcases and a set of stationery.

The event was held in the direction of work of Al-Farabi KazNU on providing quality education, elimination of inequality within the framework of the UN Sustainable Development Strategy. It was held jointly with the public foundation ‘Zhasa Union’.
