Faculty of Oriental Studies hosted an international forum
The students of the Tsukuba University and the students of Japanese Studies of Far Eastern and South Asian Studies at Faculty of Oriental Studies in KazNU held the International Student Forum at 6th March. The theme of the forum is “How do you learn languages?”.
The students of the University of Tsukuba have learned Russian language at the University of Tsukuba for 2-3 years, and then they continued their study at Faculty for Pre-College Education in KazNU. The period of studying in KazNU is three weeks . They are also interested in Master Programs of KazNU.
The main purposes was to hold a student exchange meeting on the program ”Campus in Campus,” and exchange their opinions about learning of foreign languages.
In the opening ceremony, Prof. Jubatova Bayan (Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies) and Prof. Yem Natalya (Head of the department of the Far Eastern and South Asian Studies) made speeches.
Three groups made presentation and gave the themes of discussion about language learning. The forum is used in Japanese and Russian. Ninomiya Takashi, who studied the University of Tsukuba and was a Senior lecturer of KazNU, summarized their presentation and discussion after the third discussion. At the end of forum it was concert, organized by students, that was Japanese dance and song.
