Announcement. “Alash intelligentsia and issues of educating the people.”

        On October 4, in Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, at the department of civil law and civil procedure, labor law, a conference will be held on the topic: “Alash intelligentsia and issues of educating the people.”

        Members of the Almaty City Commission for the Rehabilitation of Victims of Political Repression – Abikenova Gulzhazira Estaevna, candidate of historical sciences, associate professor and Baidavletova Madina Dosbergenovna, PhD Doctor were invited to the meeting.

      1920-1950 the last century became a difficult period for our people and a tragic page in our national history; Innocent people fell under the millstone of repression, as well as the best of the Kazakh intelligentsia, including Alash figures who stood up to defend the people. Therefore, the purpose of this event is to understand the lessons of the historical past associated with political repression, restore justice and preserve historical memory. Also, the importance of the conference lies in showing the great role of the Kazakh intelligentsia in educating the people.
