Shooting a movie with Dzhansugurova Leyla

Today, October 17, the shooting of the documentary movie “Ancestors of Our Ancestors” by Russian director Evgeny Bezborodov was taken place at the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology. The film crew specially flew from Moscow to interview Leila Bulatovna Dzhansugurova, professor, teacher of the department, a leading geneticist of the republic, and the head of the Center for Paleogenetics and Ethnogenomics.  The results of studies of the genetic characteristics of Kazakhs conducted by Dzhansugurova’s team were published in such journals as “Science”, “Nature”, “Frontiers in Genetics” and other rating journals.

The interview was devoted to the history of the Golden Man and other similar finds on the territory of Kazakhstan. The film will be broadcast on the Russia - Culture TV channel.
