Guest Lecture for Students in the Educational Program "Accounting and Audit"

On November 16, within the framework of the "Financial Reporting" course for fourth-year graduating students, a guest lecture on "Tax Reporting Formation and Reporting Standards in Sustainable Development" was conducted. The lecture was delivered by Meruert Bayanbekovna Kozhina, the director of the outsourcing company "KMB Group" LLP, a Professional Accountant, Tax Consultant, and a Consultant-Lecturer for entrepreneur education, alongside Farida Kazizovna Yerdavletova, an Associate Professor at the Department of Finance and Accounting at al-Farabi KazNU.

During the lecture, students were introduced to practical approaches in forming tax reporting and business reporting aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Meruert Kozhina emphasized during her presentation that SDGs offer a unique opportunity to enhance business communication based on sustainable development and stressed the importance of utilizing this information in practical activities and reporting cycles, signifying significant prospects for companies. Emphasizing that adhering to a unified reporting framework based on SDGs would enable unified communication similar to how governments of various countries, funds, NGOs, and even investors increasingly operate.

The guest lecture was conducted in an interactive format, fostering continuous communication between the speakers and students.

Particular attention should be paid to the creativity and communication skills of the speakers, who successfully conducted a session aimed at developing practical skills, engaging students in discussions about SDGs, which hold immense potential in stimulating corporate actions and report compilation. They shared crucial and useful information in the explored field.
