Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law Kultemirova L.T. together with 2nd year students of the Faculty of Law of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a round table on the topic: «Противодействие семейно-бытовомунасилию: опыт Республики Казахстан».
The scientific event was held within the framework of achieving the Sustainable Development Goal "Peace, Justice and effective institutions" (16 SDG) and timed to coincide with the international action "16 days of active action against Violence". This promotion is held worldwide every year from November 25 to December 10.
The purpose of the round table was to develop the most effective forms and methods of countering domestic violence.
Employees of the internal affairs bodies who know firsthand about the problems of domestic violence are invited as speakers. Police Colonel Toksanova Maya Bulatovna and police Major Zhuzbayeva Margarita Maratovna devoted years of service in the police specifically to the prevention of domestic violence, assistance to its victims.
Students Laura Abdimannatova, Akliya Isabekova and Adilkhan Musatayev also made presentations. The guys raised the issues of domestic violence against women, children and men.
The result of the scientific event was a resolution that noted the role of civil society institutions in countering domestic violence and the importance of interaction between subjects of prevention of domestic violence.
