3rd year students of the specialty in “6B05301-Chemistry” were given a lecture on SDG 7. Inexpensive and clean energy

The purpose of the lesson is to save energy as much as possible, promote, discuss the use of renewable energy as a source of heat, lighting and current.

Currently, the lack of energy is a serious problem. The reason is based on several factors, such as the growth of the world's population, the development of the world economy and limited fuel resources. In addition, traditional non-renewable energy sources cause environmental problems, such as global warming, emissions of pollutants, and the insane use of nature. These conditions require the world to search and find new alternative sources of energy. Renewable energy sources are of great importance in Kazakhstan, as in some areas of the country (especially in the south), the inefficiency of energy supply is a shortage of electricity. Despite this, the country has all the possibilities for the efficient use of wind, solar and hydropower, but there is a problem of preserving the energy received. In this case, alternative energy and the development of lithium current sources can contribute to solving this problem.

The students discussed important information such as the proper use of energy, increasing the global energy efficiency index, increasing and modernizing energy supply technologies in developed countries, increasing the share of renewable energy, investments in clean energy, technology development and research.
