100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey. A look at the future of the Turkic world

Professor Ilber Ortayly delivered a leadership lecture "The 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey. A look at the future of the Turkic world."

Before the lecture starts Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev congratulated Professor Ilber Ortayly and the people of the Republic of Turkey on the 100th anniversary of Independence. Also, the head of the university solemnly presented Mr. Ortaily with a diploma on conferring the title of honorary professor of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

In his leadership lecture, the professor noted the importance of deepening cultural ties between the Turkic peoples and cooperation in the process of strengthening integration. "The concept of the state is very important for every nation. The revival of the university is taking place as a result of state support," the lecturer stressed. "This, in turn, is one of the main systems for strengthening ties between the Turkish states. At the same time, it is necessary to increase cultural cooperation between states. The study of the scientific works of medieval scientists common to the two states will contribute to strengthening cultural cooperation."

The lecture by Professor Ilber Ortaily interested the staff, faculty and students, undergraduates and doctoral students.
