New opportunities for students of the KazNU of educational program “Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology”

For the first time in Kazakhstan, a new unique clinical center «MedStartUp» LLP has opened to study the therapeutic, pharmaceutical and biological equivalence of drugs presented on the country’s pharmaceutical market, which will provide consumers with their necessary quality, effectiveness and safety in accordance with international standards.

General Director of «MedStartUp» LLP Zhanar Kozhamkulova, Ph.D., senior lecturer in the educational program «Pharmaceutical Production Technology» of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of Аl-Farabi Kazakh National University noted in her report that this center was created with the support of the accredited clinical center «Info Kinetics» (Malaysia) and is designed to conduct full-fledged clinical studies that are not available in the country.

The work of the new clinical research center is within the framework of achieving SDG 3.3 (Collaboration and services in health) as it includes 3 laboratories: biopharmaceutical, microbiological and diagnostic.The ability to conduct clinical research and laboratory tests in one center will allow it to become a link between specialized universities, where many new student scientific developments are accumulated, pharmaceutical companies and the regulatory body - RSE at the PPV «National Center for Expertise of Medicines and Medical Devices» of the Committee of Medical and Pharmaceutical control of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
