KazNU students became leaders in innovation competition

As part of the prestigious Huawei ICT Competition 2023-2024, dedicated to innovation in the field of information and communication technologies, the Kazakhstani team won an impressive victory in the regional finals in the direction of Cloud Track.

The team included two students of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and BIG DATA of the Faculty of Information Technologies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University - Didar Moldakhmetov and Aida Begaidarova and a student of the Kazakh-British Technical University Gauhar Janel.

The head of the team was an experienced instructor of KazNU - Eskendyr Ashimov, whose mentoring was key in preparing the guys for the competition.

In the grandiose regional final, the national team of Kazakhstan showed the highest level of skill and knowledge, leaving behind 22 teams from 11 countries of Central Asia and the Middle East.

The success of our student team brought not only medals and certificates, but also the opportunity to represent their country on the world stage during the global finals to be held in China in 2024.
