On January 30, 2024, within the framework of SDG-16 “Peace, Justice and Effective Institutions,” a round table was held on the topic “The Role of Advocacy in the Protection of Human Rights.” A member of the Bar Association was invited to the round table. Almaty - Omirtay Roza. During the round table, the current state of the legal profession and the legal status of lawyers, the role of a lawyer in the legal system, his rights and obligations, as well as the future of this profession were discussed. Roza Omirtaevna emphasized the importance of observing the standards of legal ethics, trusting relationships with the client, and respecting his secrets. The lawyer, citing examples from cases encountered in his practice, reported on the problems that arise due to obstacles that arise in the work of lawyers and ways to solve these problems. The students listened to the speaker's speech with great interest. Students asked the lawyer questions about issues that interested them and received complete information.
