Day of Russian Science

On February 8, 2024, the Center "Russian Language and Culture" at Al-Farabi  KazNU hosted  an event dedicated to the Day of Russian Science. The  students prepared the  reports on the history of Russian science, spoke about the great scientists who contributed to various fields of science (M. Lomonosov, D. Mendeleev, K. Tsiolkovsky, Lev Landau).

 The young scientists of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature shared information about the latest scientific discoveries and achievements of Russia. Presented material about scientific projects that are underway in Russia, and their influence on world science, gave examples of innovations.

 The teachers discussed the role of science in society: promising areas in Russian science - the field of study of artificial intelligence; nanotechnology; Digital Humanities.The head of the Center emphasized that Russian scientists continue to actively work on new innovative research, remaining at the center of the world scientific community, because science shapes the future, affects our daily life, this is collective work, this is an amazing world of knowledge.

Science days are celebrated all over the world. Each state is proud of its scientists. The popularization of science is a valuable contribution to the future of all mankind. The day of researchers in Kazakhstan is celebrated on April 12.  At the end  of the event, students and PhD doctoral students wrote an essay on the topic: "Science and Sustainable Development."
