35th anniversary of the international anti-nuclear movement "Nevada-Semipalatinsk"
On February 28, the international anti-nuclear movement Nevada-Semey celebrated its 35th anniversary. The event was attended by well-known scientists of the country, doctors, public figures, journalists, as well as young people. The Semipalatinsk test site became the world's first nuclear test site, the initiator of the closure of which was the Nevada-Semey movement, founded on February 28, 1989 on the initiative of the great man, poet, public figure Olzhas Omarovich Suleimenov and registered under the number "0001" as the first public organization in Kazakhstan. Gulzhanat Bakytovna Tanabekova, Chairman of the Nevada-Semipalatinsk youth Organization of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, made a report at this event, who noted the merits of veterans and asked the Youth of Kazakhstan to support this initiative.
