On February 29, 2024, the 1st year Master’s Degree students of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies, Mitalipova A.Sh. and Netto D.S., the 1st course students majoring “Foreign Philology” together with their advisor Tairova G.A. together held a round table discussion on the topic: "Reducing inequality" within the framework of SDG 10.
After the moderator's greetings and the introduction of the participants, the topic of discussion and its presentation followed. During the discussion, the main types and the causes of inequality in modern society were identified, and the ways to reduce them were proposed. The students actively participated in the discussion, sharing their opinions and giving their examples. Various ideas have been put forward to reduce inequality. Visual materials were used by the students to express their points of view. The issues discussed became the basis for further reflection and action towards solving the problem of inequality in our society.
The round table discussion was held successfully and in a was very productive way. It concluded with general conclusions and suggestions for further steps to reduce inequality. The round table discussion encouraged students to think about the problem of inequality in society for their future contribution to this problem solution.
