THE TRADITIONAL WINTER SCHOOL OPENED ITS DOORS TO JAPANESE STUDENTS FROM TOKYO UNIVERSITY

The annual winter school of the Department of the Far East, the Department of Japanese Studies, the Faculty of Oriental Studies, KazNU has opened its doors again for Japanese students. As part of the winter school program, from March 1 to March 11, 2024, students of the partner university KazNU named al-Farabi, the most prestigious university in Japan - the University of Tokyo, will study at the winter school, organized by the teachers of the Japanese studies department.

The purpose of the winter school is to strengthen and develop relations between the two states, two universities, familiarization with the traditional culture, life and history of our country. Every year, thanks to the winter school program in Kazakhstan, foreign students learn more about our country, as well as Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi. Undoubtedly, Kazakh students studying in Japan also contribute to the development of their country and form a positive image of Kazakhstan in the international arena.

Japanese students not only listen to lectures on the language, culture and history of our country, but also organize cultural and educational events, round tables, student forums and competitions with the students of the Department of Japanese Studies. In addition, the students of the department are planning to visit the Central Museum of Almaty, recreation center "Koktobe", skating rink "Medeu", Sharyn Gorge.
