SDG 5. GENDER EQUALITY Round table on the topic “Gender inequality in the labor market and career in south Korea and Kazakhstan”
March 18, 2024, dean of the faculty of oriental studies Em N.B. held a round table with students of the specialty “oriental studies”, on the topic “gender inequality in the labor market and career in south korea and kazakhstan”, dedicated to SDG 5.
The purpose of the round table was to explain to students the causes of gender gaps in the labor market, measures taken to reduce the gender gap in Korea and Kazakhstan.
Students of the specialty “Oriental studies” developed and presented reports on gender equality in our country and made comparative analyzes in the Republic of Korea. Students actively exchanged opinions and proposed their own solutions to this problem.

Introduced students to the program document “SDG s - sustainable development goals”, noting that in the context of globalization, each of the 17 areas of this program is gradually being implemented both in our country and in the world as a whole, including in Korea. At the same time, to achieve the prosperity of our society, specific tasks are set that all citizens should know.
