Turkish World I. International Geography Congress

     President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced that the Xth Summit of the Organization of Turkic States, which he chairs, will be held under the slogan "Turkic Era/TURKTIME". In his speech, the President stressed the importance of promoting Turkic unity based on the fact that "we have a common history, language and culture". Moreover, at the VIII Ministerial Meeting of the Member States of the Organization of Turkic States in the field of tourism held in October 2023, the city of Turkestan was designated as the Tourism Capital of the Turkic States for 2024. Therefore, Khoja Ahmet Yesevi International Turkic-Kazakh University together with Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, National School of Geography and Institute of Geography and Water Security decided to organize the TURKISH WORLD I INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON GEOGRAPHY in the city of Turkestan on April 18-20, 2024.

     The main goal of the Congress is to strengthen cooperation between scientists of Turkic-speaking countries of the Eurasian continent and to promote the development of geographical research.
