Today, 12 April, Kazakhstan celebrates Science Workers' Day.

This day is celebrated in Kazakhstan since 2011, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan № 164 of 20 October 2011. The date of the celebration was not chosen by chance. This day is associated with the birthday of the person who stood at the origins of the organization of scientific activity in Kazakhstan. We are talking about Academician K.I. Satpayev - the founder and the first President of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR, who headed it in 1946. 

This year within the ІІІІ International Farabi Forum, which was timed to coincide with the Day of Science Workers, 4 international scientific-practical conferences, 2 round tables, the international scientific conference of students and young scientists "Farabi әlemi" and traditional competition "The best young scientist of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University", competition of innovative projects and student business incubators were held. Also, Rector Tuimebaev Zhanseit Kanceitovich congratulated professors and associate professors of the University, all teaching staff, young scientists, and students with special medals and awarded cash prizes. Along with many scientists of KazNU, the head of the Department of Biotechnology, Candidate of Biological Sciences, acting professor Kistaubaeva Aida Serikovna received a letter of thanks on behalf of the Rector. We congratulate and wish new victories!
