Al-Farabi KazNU strengthens cooperation with research institutes

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was visited by the Chairman of the Board of JSC “Institute of Geography and Water Security”, Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Medeu Akhmetkal Rakhmetullaevich.

During the visit, a meeting was held with the Dean of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences A.S. Aktymbayeva. During the meeting, issues of further bilateral relations between the university JSC “Institute of Geography and Water Security” were discussed. Next, Medeu Akhmetkal Rakhmetullaevich visited the scientific center “Sustainable Development and Environmental Management” and the Kazakh-Chinese Laboratory “Remote Sensing Technology and Applications”.

It is worth noting that JSC “Institute of Geography and Water Security” is one of the Members of the Megagrant Consortium BR21882122 “Sustainable development of natural-economic and socio-economic systems of the West Kazakhstan region in the context of green growth: comprehensive analysis, concept, forecast estimates and scenarios”, implemented by the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences.

This meeting implements SDG 4 - quality education; SDG 8 - decent work and economic growth; SDG 17 - partnerships for sustainable development.
