Meeting with the Office of the Akim of the West Kazakhstan Region within the Framework of the Sustainable Development Project

On June 21, 2024, as part of the implementation of Subprogram 7, “Assessment of the Socio-Economic Development of the West Kazakhstan Region in the Context of Sustainable Development,” the experts of the project BR 21882122 “Sustainable Development of the Natural, Economic, and Socio-Economic Systems of the West Kazakhstan Region in the Context of Green Growth: Comprehensive Analysis, Concept, Forecast Assessments, and Scenarios” held a meeting with Bakytzhan Khaperovich Narymbetov, Deputy Akim of the West Kazakhstan Region.

During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation and the prospects of the project’s expected outcomes. The importance of coordination and collaboration for the successful achievement of the region’s sustainable development goals was highlighted.

On June 22, 2024, a series of meetings with the heads of various departments of the West Kazakhstan Region Akimat took place as part of the BR 21882122 project, aimed at further discussing strategic issues of the region’s socio-economic development.

The meetings were attended by:

• Dildash Iskakova, Deputy Head of the Department for Coordination of Employment and Social Programs of the West Kazakhstan Region;

• Asemgul Tasbulatovna Abenova, Deputy Head of the Department of Strategy and Economic Development of the West Kazakhstan Region;

• Nurlan Mukhitovich Yesengaliev, Head of the Department of Finance of the West Kazakhstan Region;

• Bauyrzhan Tabigatovich Satkaliev, Deputy Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Industrial-Innovative Development of the West Kazakhstan Region.

During the meetings, the participants discussed key issues related to achieving the region’s sustainable development goals, improving socio-economic indicators, and strengthening cooperation among departments to ensure a comprehensive approach to the development of the West Kazakhstan Region. Specific initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing the socio-economic situation in the region were reviewed.

The participants emphasized the importance of interdepartmental cooperation and coordinated efforts as a fundamental factor in achieving the set objectives and implementing strategic tasks aimed at sustainable growth and development.

These meetings marked an important step toward the successful implementation of the subprogram and the attainment of sustainable development goals in the West Kazakhstan Region.
