The most powerful supercomputer in Central Asia will be installed in KazNU

At the meeting of the Head of State of Kazakhstan K.Tokayev and Chairman of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping signed an agreement on the delivery of a supercomputer to Al-Farabi KazNU.

 

The supercomputer will be used to create digital twins, artificial intelligence technology, knowledge-intensive computing in the main areas of the university's activities, management and organization of IoT-objects, development of software for the management of Smart-technology objects and many others.
It should be noted that the peak performance of the proposed supercomputer is 1.94 PFLOPS and will be the most powerful supercomputer in Central Asia.
The supercomputer will create an opportunity for scientists throughout Kazakhstan to work with large amounts of data, model various situations of government agencies, and become a new era in the development of the country's IT infrastructure.
