Awarding diplomas to bachelors and masters in groups of educational programs “Tourism” and “Restaurant and Hotel Business” at KazNU

On July 3, 2024, NJSC “Al-Farabi Kazakh National University” held a solemn ceremony for presenting diplomas to graduates of bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the educational programs “B091 Tourism”, “B093 Restaurant Business and Hotel Business”, “M147 Tourism”, “M149 Restaurant Business and hotel business”.

The ceremony took place in a solemn atmosphere in the Al-Farabi Library. Lecturers, students, their families and friends were present. Welcoming words were delivered by Member of the Board – Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Altay Kazmagambetov, Dean of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management Aliya Aktymbayeva, Head of the Department of Recreation Geography and Tourism Roman Plokhikh.

Member of the Board – Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs expressed confidence that many graduates will become leaders in their field and will actively contribute to the development of tourism and hospitality in Kazakhstan.

The dean of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management emphasized the importance of sustainable development of the tourism and hospitality sectors, as well as the role of KazNU graduates in promoting their values. She expressed gratitude to the teaching staff for their dedication and contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists.

The head of the department in his speech noted the high level of training of graduates and emphasized that graduates have all the competencies for a successful career in the dynamically developing tourism and hospitality industry.

All speakers noted that KazNU graduates in these areas of training are in demand in the labor market and have deep knowledge and practical skills, which allows them to successfully realize themselves in professional activities. They also emphasized the importance of continuing education and professional development, which is especially important in a rapidly changing world. The dean of the faculty expressed confidence that the knowledge and experience gained at KazNU will help graduates make a significant contribution to the development of tourism, restaurant and hotel business in Kazakhstan and beyond.

Graduates of the educational programs “B091 Tourism”, “B093 Restaurant and Hotel Business” and the master’s programs “M147 Tourism” and “M149 Restaurant and Hotel Business” received diplomas confirming the successful completion of their studies and readiness for professional activities.

Graduates of the groups of educational programs “Tourism” and “Restaurant and Hotel Business” are ready for a new stage of life – professional activity. Their knowledge and skills will become an important contribution to the development of tourism, restaurant and hotel businesses in Kazakhstan and the world.

The distinguished students and their parents were presented with letters of gratitude. The graduates expressed gratitude to their teachers and the university administration for their support and training, and also promised to worthily represent KazNU in their future professional activities.
