The inauguration of a new branch of the scientific center "Sustainable Development and Environmental Management"

28 June 2024 was held a working meeting of the research group under the program BR21882122 "Sustainable development of natural-economic and socio-economic systems of the West Kazakhstan region in the context of green growth: complex analysis, concept, forecast assessments and scenarios" based on the West Kazakhstan State University named after M. Utemisov (Uralsk), in which scientists of the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (Prof. CherednichenkoV.S., Prof. Salnikov V.G., Associate Professor PolyakovaS.E., Associate Professor Nysanbaeva A.S.), as well as young scientists (doctoral student Musralinova G.T.).

During the working meeting, half-yearly reports of all directions of the program were heard. Also during the visit, there was an opening of the branch of the scientific center "Sustainable Development and Rational Nature Management" of KazNU named after Al-Farabi, in particular the GlobalSky laboratory. A meteorological temperature profiler MTR-5, which measures the temperature profile up to 1 km, was installed on the roof of the student dormitory. In addition, a master class on working with MTR-5 was held for employees of the West Kazakhstan State University named after M. Utemisov.
