THE NAMES OF THE WINNERS OF STATE EDUCATIONAL GRANTS ARE KNOWN

🌟 The list of educational grant holders for the 2024-2025 academic year has been published on the social media of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Testing Centre.

 

✔ In total, more than 104,000 applications were submitted for participation in the contest for awarding educational grants, which is 10,000 more than last year.

🔎 State grants were awarded based on the results of the final meeting of the Republican Commission, which included members of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of state bodies, trade unions in the education sector, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Association of Higher Education Institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and public organisations.

📍The biggest competition took place among applicants who chose the GOP "Dentistry" - 35 people for one place. Next come "International Relations and Diplomacy" (11 people), "Physical Education Teacher Training" (10 people), "Translation" and "Psychology" (9 people).

📚 Among the applicants are more than 22 thousand applicants with a preferential right in case of equality of points, namely the holders of the badge "Altyn Belgi", winners of international and republican Olympiads, excellent students. In addition, the distribution of grants takes into account quotas for children from socially vulnerable categories.

📨 Enrolment in higher education institutions will be carried out until 25 August inclusive. On the instructions of the Head of State, differentiated grants with partial payment of tuition fees have been introduced for the first time this year.

 

📌 As a reminder, the largest number of grants is allocated to engineering and technical areas. On the instructions of the Head of State, differentiated grants with partial payment of tuition fees were introduced for the first time this year. 150 differentiated grants have been allocated for the programme "Pedagogical Sciences" and "Social Sciences, Journalism and Information". Also, 3,903 grants have been allocated for those entering the Serpin programme. The list of grants also includes 5,000 targeted educational grants for young people from densely populated, newly formed and western regions to study at leading universities.
