NEW DIRECTIONS OF ABAEOLOGY ANALYSED IN THE KAZNU
The V International Conference "Creative Heritage and Teachings of Abai Kunanbayuly" dedicated to Abai Day was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University
The conference was attended by literary specialists from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, USA, scientists of Kazakhstani universities and research institutes, doctoral students and master's students..
The moderator of the event - Director of the Abai Research Institute at KazNU, Professor Zhangara Dadebayev noted that today's event is timed to the 90th anniversary of KazNU and the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Abai Research Institute.
This year, by the decision of the Chairman of the Board - Rector of KazNU named after Al-Farabi Zhanseit Tuimebaev, the Abai Research Institute was provided with a special office in the building of Al-Farabi Library.
The Institute makes a great contribution to the development of Kazakhstani humanitarian science, Abaeology, and carries out a lot of work. Today on the official website of the Institute (www.abai.kaznu.kz) an electronic fund of scientific, methodical, artistic literature and textbooks has been created. It concentrates more than a thousand titles of literature, and the fund is constantly replenished.
The collection "Abaeology. Selected Works" (Volumes: 1-50, publishing house "Kazak University") for the first time in Kazakhstan the history of Abaed Studies in KazNU is systematised in chronological order and published in one edition.
The collection also includes "Anthology of Abay Studies". The publishing house "Kazak University" published ten volumes and books of serial edition "Works of Abai Institute" (23 books in total).
The concept of knowledge, understanding, application and doctrine of Abai as well as "Abai's Moral Code" was developed.
The academic discipline "Abay's teachings" as a component in the selection of the cycle of general disciplines of higher education programmes was included in the educational process.
The conference participants exchanged views on the issues of differentiation of creative heritage and teachings of the great Abai in modern science and joint development of new ways of scientific analysis at the international level.
