Korean students from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies attend Summer School at the Department of Far East
The Department of Far East of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi KazNU is holding a Summer School from August 5 to August 28, 2024 for students from South Korea. Seven students from the Department of Central Asia of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies are taking part in the Summer School courses of the Department of Far East.
The purpose of the Summer School is to intensively study the Kazakh language and the culture of Kazakhstan. As part of the Summer School, students get acquainted with the history and traditions of Kazakhstan, and also visit famous sights of Kazakhstan.
The students arrived in Kazakhstan on August 5 and were accommodated by the program coordinators in the dormitory of Al-Farabi KazNU. The next day after their arrival, a campus tour of the university was organized for the students. During the excursion, the students visited the Al-Farabi library, which consists of several halls: the Al-Farabi Museum, the First President's Hall, the Abay Hall, conference halls, etc. The students noted that the current space and equipment of the library meet modern needs. The students expressed gratitude to the program coordinators for the familiarization tour and took memorable photos.
