In KazNU discussed the President's Address
Chairman of the Board - Rector of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi Zhanseit Tuimebaev held a leadership meeting with the faculty and student youth of the university, discussed the message of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In the lecture the head of the university told about the role of young people in creating a fair Kazakhstan and drew attention to the significant changes taking place in the country on the initiative of the Head of State.
Deans of faculties, teachers, professors, young scientists and students of I courses took part in the event on the theme “We have a common high mission - to build a Just Kazakhstan for future generations”.
In his speech, the Rector noted that the Address of Kasym-Jomart Tokayev to the people of Kazakhstan this year contains large-scale goals, aimed primarily at improving the economy of the country, improving the welfare of the population and personal activity of young people.
“The message “Fair Kazakhstan: law and order, economic growth, public optimism” covered the issues of science and higher education development, strengthening the ties of the best universities with the real sector of the economy. The coordination of innovation policy with scientific and technological priorities of the country, increasing the potential of applied science in universities was considered. Special importance is attached to the inviolability of national interests, improving the quality of life of the nation, ensuring security and the rule of law. Part of these tasks we realize in the life of the university, and we will continue systematically in the future”, - said the rector.
The head of higher education institution noted that there is a great hope for the youth in the development of the future of Kazakhstan, the creation of a just society, and emphasized that the main task of young people is to be educated and qualified specialists.
“The President in his Address to the people of Kazakhstan said: “We have a common high mission - to build for future generations a Just Kazakhstan, a state of equal opportunities for everyone and everything.” Our active and modern youth can do this. Preserving the unity of the country should become the main principle. The President has already repeatedly said this. “Independence is our most sacred, honored value and the main wealth. The development of a strong Kazakhstan is in the hands of the youth,” said Zhanseit Kanseituly.
At the meeting the rector of the university emphasized that KazNU named after Al-Farabi makes a special contribution to the implementation of the tasks set by the President of Kazakhstan.
“In his Address, the Head of State noted the opening of branches of 23 leading foreign universities. Branches of two of them opened and work in our university. In particular, the National Research Nuclear University “MEPhI” and Northwestern Polytechnic University Xi'an. Earlier branches of KazNU were opened in Istanbul and Bishkek with the participation of the President. In the future it is planned to launch a branch of KazNU in Omsk State University named after F. M. Dostoevsky. F. M. Dostoevsky”, - said the head of the university.
At the leadership meeting Zhanseit Kanseituly noted that the university pays special attention to the development of science, as the educational institution has the status of a research university. Rector of KazNU also dwelled on the work to create comfortable conditions for free learning and pastime of young people.
In conclusion, Zhanseit Kanseituly urged the student youth to use time effectively, often read books and join efforts to create a common peaceful and bright future.
At the end of the meeting Zhanseit Tuimebayev answered a number of questions about the transition to the Latin script, about cooperation between Kazakhstan and other countries.
