30 september, 2024

On September 30, 2024,  the 4th-year students of  "6B01704-Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages" major  discussed the role of Kazakhstan in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as  the ways to assist Kazakhstani youth.  The students noted  that Kazakhstan actively supports the Sustainable Development Goals. They consider that  these goals  fully agree  with the country  priorities and objectives which are  outlined in the country key strategic documents. During the discussion, the  students paid a  special attention to the problem of implementing Sustainable Development Goals "No poverty".  Poverty eradication  is the first of 17 goals set out in the Sustainable Development Agenda.  The speakers noted  that more than 10% of the world's population still live in extreme poverty, trying to meet basic needs for health care, education, and access to water and sanitation. During the discussion they  called  for the poor and vulnerable to be given equal access to basic services, ownership and control of land and other forms of property, natural resources, appropriate new technologies and financial services.

Organizers: G.S. Nabieva, A.M. Dosanova and 4th year students of the specialty "6B01704-Foreign language: two foreign languages".
