The 5th "World Nomad Games" of great international importance was held in Kazakhstan in 2024 with the direct support of the country's president Kassym-Zhomart Kemeluly Tokayev, and was held in Astana city on September 8-13 in high-quality conditions. Representatives and athletes from 89 countries took part in the Nomadic Games, and 21 ethnic sports competitions were held. Holding the World Nomadic Games in Kazakhstan had a special impact on strengthening friendship between peoples, preserving and developing national games and sports of ethnic groups.
As part of this big event, an international scientific-practical conference called "Nomadic people: history, knowledge, education" was held, it worked for three days in the Republican National Museum of Kazakhstan in the sections "History and culture", "Sports science", "Food of Central Asian nomads". Scientists and researchers of more than 40 countries took part in it. At this international scientific-practical conference, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Faculty of Medicine and Healthcare, Professor of Physical Education and Sports Department, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences Alimkhanov Elemes, made a report entitled ""Scientific-methodological basis of holding international competitions in traditional games and ethno-sports of peoples". The report mentioned the need to develop the rules of the "World Nomadic Game" in accordance with international standards and was included in the final resolution of the scientific conference. The contents of the reports at the scientific conference widely covered the topics of people's sports games, horse breeding, human nutrition, medical care, tradition, history, culture, etc. It was said that these little-studied scientific directions can be widely used as research topics in higher educational institutions. The World Confederation of Ethnosports in Turkey has announced that special monthly scholarships are assigned to students who conduct research on these topics in doctoral studies of higher education institutions.
