Regional workshop on health informatics and data science.

Anara Daniyarova, Director of the Higher School of Public Health, Faculty of Medicine and Healthcare, al-Farabi Kazakh National University, and Madina Mansurova, Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, Faculty of Information Technologies, participated in the Second Regional Workshop on Informatics and Data Science for Health in Tbilisi, Georgia, September 23-24, 2024.
This workshop aimed to collaborate with various sectors in Kazakhstan, Moldova, and Georgia to identify countries’ needs for a workforce capable of working with data and informatics for public health and discuss prospects for pre- and in-service training for sustainable capacity building. The workshop in Tbilisi aimed to bring together leaders in this field who have a comprehensive understanding of the needs and a vision for the sustainable development of this workforce; present the results of market, supply, and demand assessments conducted in Kazakhstan, Moldova, and Georgia; outline potential pathways to sustainability; and validate these findings in collaboration with partner countries.
