SDG-17: Inspiring meeting with young poets at the International Turkic Poetry Festival
A meeting with young poets from the Turkic peoples was held at our university as part of the international festival of young poets of the Turkic world, SDG -17: «Partnership for Sustainable Development». Faculty and students gathered to engage with poets from Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan.
The event was led by Nurgali Oraz, the director of the «Social Development and Youth Affairs» center at our university, a laureate of the «Alash» literary award and an esteemed writer. Among the notable attendees were Murathan Shokan, a poet, philosopher, member of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan, and director of the «Tulga-dostyk» public fund, as well as Kanybek Imanaliev, the chairman of the Writers' Union of Kyrgyzstan, former Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, and a deputy of the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Kyrgyz poets who participated included Duysen Karimov, Yrysgul Izatova, Azhzhol Doranbekuly, and Kanatbek Taalaibekuly. The event also featured Muhittin Gumush, a renowned Turkish writer and poet, alongside poets from Uzbekistan, including Intikam Yaashar, Shukhrat Arif, Mansur Zhumaev, and Khulkar Sherzodova. Khoshgeldiyeva Makhym, a prominent poet from Turkmenistan, captivated the audience with her powerful and poignant poetry, addressing themes of homeland, fatherhood, and love.
At the conclusion of the event, young poets from our country, including Ulan Ishaq, Dauren Tileukhan, Araylim Muratalieva, and Yerkanat Konsevbekuly, left a lasting impression on the audience with their heartfelt performances.
