International scientific and practical conference “Computational and Information Technologies in Science, Engineering and Education” (CITech–2024)

On October 23–24, 2024, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, National Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Turkic World Mathematical Society (TWMS), Kazakhstan Mathematical Society, Institute of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling hold the traditional International scientific and practical conference “Computational and Information Technologies in Science, Engineering and Education” (CITech–2024), dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the NEA RK Shaltay Smagulovich Smagulov and to the 90th anniversary of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The purpose of the conference is to exchange experience, discuss problems by leading experts in the field of application of computing and information technologies in various fields of science, engineering and education, familiarize themselves with the latest results of fundamental and applied mathematical research, as well as expand international scientific and technical cooperation.

Conference venue:

Plenary sessions will be held in the library of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, 050004, Republic of Kazakhstan, Almaty, Al-Farabi Avenue, 71/27.

Sectional sessions will be held at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, 050004, Republic of Kazakhstan, Almaty, Al-Farabi Avenue, 71/23.

Almaty is the largest city in Kazakhstan, located in the foothills of the Zailiyskiy Alatau. It is a sunny, green city with wide streets, beautiful buildings, numerous parks and squares. The rich history of the city is reflected in numerous attractions, historical monuments of culture and history, in the contrasting architecture of the city - from ancient fortress-style buildings to ultra-modern high-rise complexes. The world-famous Medeo high-mountain skating rink, the Chimbulak ski resort, mountaineering and tourist camps, resorts, holiday homes and campsites are located here. Kok-Tobe is a mountain on the territory of the city, located at an altitude of 1100 meters above sea level. At the foot of the mountain is a 350-meter TV tower and if you count from sea level, then this is the highest tower in the world. Several rivers flow through the city, carrying crystal-clear water. The month of October was chosen for holding the conference, the most favorable season for holding a conference in Almaty.
