September 24, 2024 the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry of Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi held a career guidance meeting for first-year bachelor's degree students in the specialty “Petrochemistry and Chemotology”.
The event was attended by graduates of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Claude Bernard University Lyon-1 (France), who studied under the educational program of double degree on the basis of the scholarship “Abai-Vern”. Klassen Ivan and Zhamantay Nadir shared their experiences and talked about the attractive, but also sometimes challenging aspects of studying abroad.
The students described in detail the peculiarities of the educational process and interaction with teachers, as well as outlined the difficulties they had encountered at the international level. They conducted a comparative analysis of the educational programs of the two countries, which helped the meeting participants to better understand the diversity of the educational environment.
In addition, the meeting provided valuable information about working in foreign laboratories, conducting research and future career prospects for young professionals. The event was carried out in accordance with SDG No. 4 – Quality Education.
