TEACHERS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF THE MIDDLE EAST AND SOUTH ASIA AT AL-FARABI KAZNU PARTICIPATED IN THE SECOND INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ARABIC STUDIES IN SHARJAH WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE SDG (QUALITY EDUCATION)

The Second International Conference “Arab Studies in Europe and Other Countries: The Contribution of Orientalists to the Development of the Arabic Language” took place in Sharjah (UAE) from September 21 to 22, 2024.

Fatima Mamedova, Candidate of Philological Sciences and Acting Associate Professor of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi KazNU, participated in the conference as part of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) project partnership and delivered a presentation at the Second Sharjah International Conference on Arabic Language Studies in Europe: “The Contribution of Arabists to the Development of the Arabic Language.”

The main goal of the conference was to exchange experience and enable direct communication among researcher colleagues on an international platform. At the conclusion of the conference, Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, member of the Supreme Council, ruler of Sharjah, and Supreme President of the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah, personally presented certificates to the participants. The conference was attended by 24 representatives from 14 countries, representing leading universities and scientific organizations, including Italy, Poland, Germany, Spain, France, Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkey, Austria, and Denmark.
