The Head of the Department of Iranian Studies of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia participated in the forum in Iran within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
The head of the Iranology Department, A.Zh. Boranbayeva, participated in the first forum of the heads of centers and departments teaching Persian language in Iran and Asian countries, which took place from October 5 to 7 within the framework of the "Sustainable Development Goals" project under the theme "Quality Education." The forum, titled "Asian Cultural Dialogues: Persian Language as a Common Spiritual Heritage," was attended by representatives from universities in Armenia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Thailand, the Philippines, Kazakhstan, and Iran. The forum’s work began on October 5-6 at Nishapur University and continued on October 7 at Ferdowsi University in Mashhad. As a result, it was decided to hold this forum annually at one of the Iranian and foreign universities. Representatives of Iran’s Tabatabaei University and Yerevan State University expressed their readiness to host such forums. At the conclusion of the forum, a resolution was adopted, which included the establishment of partnerships between Iranian universities and Persian language teaching centers abroad, joint supervision of doctoral students’ research on common literary heritage, holding festivals and competitions, organizing professional development courses for Persian language teachers, publishing books, compiling dictionaries, and other collaborative efforts.
