On October 5, 2024, a university-wide cleanup was held on the territory of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, organized as part of the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 11 — “Sustainable Cities and Communities.” The Faculty of Oriental Studies actively participated in the event.
The cleanup was aimed at improving the environmental conditions of the university campus. Students and faculty members of the faculty contributed significantly to maintaining the cleanliness of the campus. As part of the action, the areas around the academic buildings and dormitories were cleaned up.
Participation in the cleanup allowed students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies to demonstrate their commitment to environmental initiatives and to support the SDGs aimed at developing a sustainable and comfortable urban environment. Students noted that such activities foster an awareness of environmental responsibility and help strengthen team spirit.
The event concluded with a group photo of the participants against the backdrop of the cleaned-up campus, symbolizing unity in the pursuit of a sustainable future.
