The Faculty of Middle Eastern and South Asian Studies Held a Meeting within the SDG Framework “Partnerships for Sustainable Development”
Today, on October 23, 2024, within the framework of promoting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 17, which focuses on strengthening international partnerships for sustainable development, a meeting was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Almaty, Ms. Rizwana Qazi. The event was attended by the head of the Department of Middle Eastern and South Asian Studies, Ms. D.M. Kokeeva, as well as the faculty members of the Indology branch.
The purpose of the meeting was to enhance ties between Kazakhstan and Pakistan in the fields of education, science, and culture, as well as to discuss prospects for academic cooperation between the universities of both countries. Ms. Rizwana Qazi highlighted the importance of collaboration in educational programs and student exchanges, emphasizing the significant potential for mutual enrichment of knowledge and experience between Kazakhstan and Pakistan.
The meeting concluded with discussions on possible future areas of cooperation, including the implementation of joint scientific projects, the organization of cultural events, and the creation of conditions for closer dialogue between the academic communities of both countries.
