The Role of Kazakhstan in Promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN
On October 23, 2024, the Faculty of International Relations at Al-Farabi KazNU hosted a debate among 3rd-year students dedicated to the Republic Day of Kazakhstan. The topic of the discussion was “The Role of Kazakhstan in Promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN.”
The event was organized by Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor G.A. Movkebayeva, the Head of the Department of International Relations and World Economy, Associate Professor, PhD G.S. Baykushikova, along with 1st-year master’s students S.Z. Khanaliyeva and M.D. Tyulyukina. During the debate, students discussed Kazakhstan’s key achievements in implementing the SDGs and the country’s role on the international stage over the years of independence.
The students’ active participation, engagement, and ability to argue their positions contributed to a meaningful and dynamic discussion. The debate not only highlighted Kazakhstan’s efforts in promoting the SDGs but also became a platform for exchanging ideas and viewpoints.
