DEPARTMENT OF MIDDLE EAST AND SOUTH ASIA HELD CURATOR'S HOUR IN CELEBRATION OF REPUBLIC DAY
On October 23, 2024, at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Department of Middle East and South Asia within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals project, within the framework of Peace, Justice and Effective Institutions., curators-advisers Zhiekbaeva A.B., Mukash A.Y., Zhumadilova A.E. and Zhumazhanova F.T. held a curatorial hour on the topic "Formation of the Republic: History and Modernity" for students majoring in "Oriental Studies".
During the event, the process of Kazakhstan's formation as an independent republic was discussed.
The teachers spoke about the key historical moments and challenges that the country faced on the path to independence. Particular attention was paid to the role of the older generation, which made a significant contribution to strengthening sovereignty.
The participants discussed not only the achievements, but also the price that our country had to pay for gaining independence. The topic of cultural and economic development of Kazakhstan over the years of sovereignty was touched upon. The students asked questions, expressed their thoughts on the future of the republic and shared personal impressions. The event ended on an optimistic note, highlighting the importance of youth participation in the country’s further development.
