On October 23, 2024, a lecture on «The History of the Declaration of Independence» was held for students of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental sciences, dedicated to the Republic Day on October 25. Purpose: to foster a sense of patriotism, love for the native country. The lecture was organized by the Deputy dean of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management Shaken Aiman Shakenovna and the senior curator of the faculty Alimbai Almas Medetzhanovich. This lecture on the topic «The History of the Declaration of Independence» was conducted by Doctor of Law, Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law of the Faculty Ibraeva Alua Salamatovna. During the lecture, she shared interesting and useful information about the historical document that became the basis of the sovereignty of the country's independence. This document was adopted on October 25, 1990. Therefore, the specified date from 2022 is marked in the calendar as a "national holiday".
The Declaration proclaimed the sovereignty of the Kazakh SSR and declared the political and legal foundations of Kazakhstan as an independent state. In addition, the professor of the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law spoke about the importance of this holiday in the country, that the adopted declaration for the first time consolidated such state principles as the integrity of the country's territory, the development of original culture, traditions of the Kazakh people and representatives of other ethnic groups of Kazakhstan, popularization of national values. In addition, historical information about the sovereignty of our country was announced during the lecture. At this event, held within the framework of the faculty, students learned interesting, useful information about the independence of our country and received answers to their questions on the topic. This event, timed to coincide with the Republic Day on October 25, is of great educational importance. Events dedicated to the Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan will also be held in the future.
